Chuck Whittier, is our Hearing Instrument Specialist. He attended school in Canada at UPEI. Chuck began his career in the hearing health industry in 2004 where he worked for a hearing aid clinic doing everything from cleaning hearing aids to reprogramming them. This peaked his interest to becoming a Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) and worked under both a licensed hearing instrument specialist and an ENT physician. Chuck became a Maine licensed HIS in 2008. He joins Waterville Audiology with over 16 years of hearing testing and hearing aid fitting experience. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the newest of technology available in hearing aid devices.
Dr. Becca Rancourt as an undergraduate student at UMaine dreamed of assisting those with speech difficulties so Communication Sciences became her career path until she met a special professor, Dr. Amy Booth. Dr. Booth taught Dr. Becca her first course in Audiology. She remembers the day when “the light bulb went off” and her career path changed. Her new found love and passion was Audiology as she wanted to change lives of many by bringing the sounds of life back to those that had lost it. Dr. Becca continued her graduate studies in Wisconsin where her family had lived when she was a toddler and many close family members lived. She graduated from University of Wisconsin- Madison in May 2019. During that Spring she started seeking opportunities in her home State of Maine and came across an Audiology practice for sale in Waterville where a retiring Audiologist was selling her practice. This was Dr. Anne Pratt Giroux. In August of 2019, Dr. Becca Rancourt and her mother, Jennifer Rancourt, purchased the practice and changed the name to Waterville Audiology and Hearing Aid Clinic. Together they provide the full customer experience by making patients feel welcome and listened to. Patients enter the practice with questions and concerns and are put at ease within moments of meeting Becca and Jennifer. They offer full service hearing health services from testing, hearing aid repair and maintenance to hearing aid sales and financing. We, at Waterville Audiology, look forward to servicing the greater Waterville area with superior hearing health.
At Waterville Audiology, we are committed to reconnecting people to the sounds of life through the diagnosis and management of hearing loss.
