Hearing Aid Cleaning

Your hearing aids should be serviced for cleaning at a minimum of 6 months. Depending on the style of your hearing aid, different cleanings will occur. If your hearing aids are the behind the ear style with an earmold, the tubing will need to be changed every 6 months to prevent the tubing from becoming discolored and stiff. If your hearing aid is a receiver in the ear style, the wax guards will need to be changed and the tip of the hearing aid should be changed also. Waterville Audiology will use a vacuum to vacuum out the microphones on your hearing aids. Proper care and hearing aid cleaning is critical to maintain good performance of the hearing aids.
